U15′s v Maccabi Manchester

Game played on Sunday Sept 18th, at King George playing fielding Ashton, on a typical autumn day weather wise, with the addition of four new signings added to the squad this week the team was in a positive and buoyant mood, and after a slow but positive start some old confidence was starting to show in our play, the centre midfield looked a lot more mobile, with Nathan and Cam, and new player Murthaz on the right,  Hayden had another outstanding game following his man of the match performance from the previous week, however following a failed defensive clearence Maccabi took the lead with 10mins of the first half left.

Second half followed the same pattern as the first with the visitors having a lot of procession hitting the wood work twice. but the fight that was missing from our first three games was keeping us in good stead, with us creating a few chances, a tatical move of putting Jacob back in his more familar role of striker soon paid dividens, following some good work on the right from Murthaz he found Jacob who crossed to find Conor who finished with a great shot finding the bottom right corner of the net. With 6 mins left both team played out a deserved draw.

The addition of four new players, and the competition for places should bring out the missing spark, and fight that was missing from the start of our season
